Back in 1938, Action Comics #1 introduced a new superhero to the world when it featured for the first time, the Adventures of Superman. In those days, 
Superman didn’t have all the powers and abilities that are attributed to him today.
In 1938, Superman was “faster than speeding bullet” but by the late 1950′s he was able to travel faster than the speed of light, making him capable of time travel. In 1938 Superman was “more powerful than a locomotive.” By the 1960′s Superman was capable of moving a planet off its axis.
In 1938, Superman was able to “leap tall buildings at a single bound” but two decades later, he was able to defy gravity and fly at super-speeds across the Milky Way and beyond. In 1939 Superman’s body was so dense that it could not be harmed by anything short of an artillery shell.
It wasn’t long before Superman’s writers extended this remarkable ability until Superman could stand in the center of a nuclear explosion or could travel right through the center of the Sun without harm...more…
Beware Of Wolves In Sheep’s Clothing

The Lord Jesus Christ warned His followers, “Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheepʼs clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves (Matt. 7:15).
The warning was important because Jesus later said to them: “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; therefore be shrewd as serpents, and innocent as doves” (Matt. 10:16). The apostle Paul, with tears and a deeply troubled spirit, penned a similar warning: “I know that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock” (Acts 20:29). Throughout church history these warnings have seldom been taken seriously. Christians continue to be deceived because they can not discern truth from error.
According to Websterʼs Dictionary “deceive” means “to lead astray or to cause to accept as true or valid what is false or invalid.” Could it be the church has not only lost its ability to discern truth from error but also to discern wolves from sheep?..more…

Homeland Security Is Monitoring The Web For Anti-Government Sentiment And Signs Of Social Unrest

A privacy advocacy group has swayed Congress to hold a hearing next week into the Department of Homeland Security’s practice of monitoring social networks such as Twitter and Facebook, as well as media reports and organizations, including The Drudge Report.
The Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) recently obtained close to 300 pages of documents, as a result of a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit, detailing the federal agency’s “intelligence gathering” practices on the web.
Among the documents were guidelines from DHS instructing outside contractors to monitor the web for media reports and comments that “reflect adversely” on the agency or the federal government...more…
