Another major earthquake (this one 8.6 on the Richter scale) hit Indonesia this morning, and even the heathen realize there is something unusual going on. 
Satellite TV features prophecy nearly every night. Even GreenTV got into the act the other night.
Even the network news has started asking Tim LaHaye for answers. For His own sheep the end is not to be feared. We will soon hear His voice:
“For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.” (I Thessalonians 4:15-16 NASB)

Big 8.7 Magnitude Quake Strikes Off Coast of Indonesia

A massive earthquake struck off the coast of the Indonesian island of Sumatra on Wednesday afternoon, triggering a tsunami watch for the Indian Ocean, which was later canceled.
The quake struck about 434 kilometers (270 miles) southwest of Banda Aceh, the capital of Indonesia’s Aceh province, and had a magnitude of 8.6, the U.S. Geological Survey said. It took place at a depth of 23 kilometers (14 miles).
A second large quake, with a magnitude of 8.2, occurred off the west coast of Sumatra about two hours later, the USGS said.
Gary Gibson from the Seismology Research Center in Melbourne, Australia, said the location of the second quake reduced the possibility of a tsunami...more…

Thousands of Jews Gather at the Western Wall in Jerusalem to Receive the Priestly Blessings

At least 70,000 Jews from Israel and around the world gathered at the Western Wall of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem recently to receive the traditional priestly blessing, a blessing that is given to Jews who make their way to the Temple Mount on one of the three pilgrim feast days as required for Jews in the Bible.
This pilgrimage to the Temple Mount is rooted in the Jewish tradition which saw Israelites ascend to the Temple in Jerusalem for ritual worship led by the high priest during biblical times.
Today, it is a symbolic gesture because there is no Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem and many religious Jews pray daily for the Temple to be rebuilt, an event which could happen any time since all preparations have been made for the building of the next Jewish Temple in Jerusalem...more…

The out-of-wedlock teen birth rate fell again in 2010 — but there’s some debate over the conclusions being drawn by the federal agency that issued the report.
According to the report [PDF], the birth rate among teens is at its lowest level since recordkeeping began in 1940, and the latest of three years showing a drop in the rate (see related article). Janice Crouse of Concerned Women for America questions the conclusions expressed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
“The thing that really gets me is that the official release from the [CDC] says that this is due to ‘pregnancy prevention efforts’ and better contraception and the economy,” Crouse offers.
She notes there is not one whisper of a factor that has been in place for a number of years in many schools.
“They don’t even mention the fact there’s been a tremendous increase in effectiveness and pervasiveness of abstinence education,” Crouse points out. “They don’t mention the fact that teen sexual activity, by their own admission, is down; and they don’t mention the fact that teen abortions are down.”...more…
