A Rabbi in Israel Claims to be a Descendant of King David and he Wants to Set up the Kingdom of Israel Right Now

Rabbi Yosef Dayan claims that he can prove he is from the lineage of King David, Israel’s second king, and the rabbi wants to restore Israel from a state back to a kingdom, which he says the Lord has commanded in the Bible. This rabbi is joined by a number of Jewish scholars who say that God’s Word does command the establishment of a kingdom in the land that God has given the Jewish people and Rabbi Dayan could be a candidate for the future king of Israel.
According to this group of Jewish scholars, God has commanded the Jewish people when they return to the land of their forefathers, to set up the kingdom, wipe out the seed of Amalek, and then build their temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

Israel, in an unusual move, announced on Thursday that it would soon conduct the first test of an advanced antiballistic missile system designed to intercept incoming missiles from enemies like Syria and Iran.
Its departure from the traditional hush-hush approach to such tests is meant, at least in part, to avoid misunderstandings by other countries in the region and by Israelis themselves in the current highly charged atmosphere surrounding Iran’s nuclear program. A highly controversial mobile euthanasia programme launched in the Netherlands yesterday, sending six specialised roving medical teams door-to-door to help patients end their lives free of charge in their own homes.
The project, which has provoked sharp criticism from doctors, is the brainchild of the Dutch largely donor-funded Right to Die NL. It follows the government’s 2002 decision to legalise euthanasia, making the Netherlands the first country in the world to do so. Walburg de Jong, a spokeswoman for the organisation said that since the ruling some 3,100 assisted suicides had been carried out annually.
