Ever since the Prophetic Movement of the 1870′s, there have been those who love to set dates for the return of Jesus Christ to earth. Many twist, crunch and contrive their calculations from Holy Scripture to force such a date. Most of these date setters reject the clear scriptural teaching about the Rapture of the Church along with many other basic dispensational teachings clearly taught in the Bible.

Is there any way to know the exact date of Christ’s return to Earth when He will institute the Kingdom of God? There are two apparently conflicting answers: “No, there is not,” and “Yes, there is!”

When Jesus spoke about the Last Days and His glorious coming to earth in Matthew 24:36, He made this very clear statement: But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. This statement was given in response to the first of two questions His disciples asked Him (see v. 3), and the meaning is quite clear. No one but God the Father knows precisely the time of Christ’s return...more…

Despite the recent declaration by Iran that it does not want a nuclear bomb and statements by regime officials that they are willing to negotiate over the nuclear issue, indications from within Iran signal massive preparation for an all-out war as part of its destiny.

Nine years ago a Revolutionary Guards arm, the Holy Defense, published a book, “The Last Six Months,” in which it describes the conditions needed in the last six months prior to the reappearance of the last Islamic messiah. The book was distributed in the hundreds of thousands to all Guards, Basij and army bases throughout the country...more…

North Korea is armed with “powerful modern weapons” capable of defeating the United States, a top military chief in Pyongyang said Wednesday amid increased speculation abroad about the nation’s missile arsenal and nuclear ambitions.

Vice Marshal Ri Yong Ho emphasized the importance of strengthening the military to defend North Korea against threats it sees from the United States and South Korea. He called his nation a nuclear and military power and praised new leader Kim Jong Un, believed to be in his late 20s, as a “military strategist” who has been giving the army guidance for years.

“The Korean People’s Army is armed with powerful modern weapons … that can defeat the (U.S.) imperialists at a single blow,” he told party and military officials, using familiar descriptions of the country’s rivals...more…

From Mourning To Joy… Happy Birthday, Israel!

www.israeltoday.co.il

As we do every year, Israelis on Wednesday made the incredible transition from deep mourning to bounding joy as they first marked the nation’s Memorial Day for its fallen soldiers before moving immediately into Independence Day.

Nearly every Israeli has lost a family member of friend to war or terrorism, meaning that for nearly every Israeli, Memorial Day is a very solemn time. At sunset on Wednesday, our mourning will turn to sudden joy as we burst into celebration over what the sacrifice of our loved ones has purchased – a safe and secure Jewish homeland after millennia of exile and persecution...more…

President, prime minister, and IDF chief take part in ceremony honoring terror victims. Netanyahu: Throughout history, Jews have always outlasted their enemies. They are gone, we are still here

President Shimon Peres, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, and IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen Benny Gantz took part in a ceremony held on Mount Herzl Wednesday in memory of Israel’s terror victims.

“The horrific acts of terrorist know no boundaries,” said Netanyahu. “Their hate and brutality is never satisfied. They have one thing in common: They want to wipe the Jewish people off the face of the earth. They won’t do it.”

“We are here, in Jerusalem, and we will stay in Jerusalem. We won’t move from here, we won’t stop building, and we won’t stop creating,” the prime minister continued.

“They are murderers – we are builders. Historically, the Jewish people has always outlasted its enemies. They have disappeared, and we’re here. I know that the price paid by the bereaved families is unbearable, and I want to express my thanks and the thanks of the entire nation for their strength, their courage.”...more…
